New Lady Guards Volleyball Coach Appointed

Erick Beck is excited to join the Bellarmine Jefferson Catholic High School coaching staff as the new Girls’ Volleyball coach. He comes to the school with more than 25 years of club, college, and USA Volleyball coaching experience. 

While directing one of the nation’s premier volleyball clubs in Orange County, Coach Beck guided teams to two national championships. He has trained and developed multiple All-Americans, All-League and All-CIF athletes; and, more than 400 of his former players have received full college scholarships across the nation. Coach Beck is currently a head coach and a lead technical director for the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy (LAVA)

At the college level, Coach Beck was an assistant coach at Rancho Santiago College, Fullerton College, Vanguard University, and most recently at Long Beach State where he was responsible for on the court training, national recruiting, and served as academic advisor to the student athletes.

During his tenure at USA Volleyball, Coach Beck was selected as Head Coach for the SCVA Regional High Performance Program, Head Court Coach for the Women’s Junior National Team-A2 Development Camps, and as Head Court Coach and Evaluator for USA High Performance try-outs across the nation.

His goal in coaching is to help teach young women volleyball, provide them a positive and structured environment, and teach sound fundamentals and sophisticated techniques which allow them to achieve their potential, improve, and grow a passion for the game.
