Merit Scholarship
Merit Scholarship recipients will be notified of their scholarships by March 5, 2010 along with their acceptance letters.
Merit Scholarship applications are accepted in the fall and winter during a student's 8th grade year. The deadline for submissions is mid-January. The deadline for students in the class of 2014 has passed.
Who can apply?
All 8th Graders who currently attend a Catholic Elementary School are qualified applicants.
What is required?
The student must complete the application form (attached).
The student must write a one page essay addressing the following questions:

- What is the most important value I have gained from my education experiences?
- What have I contributed to my school?
- Why do I want to attend Bellarmine-Jefferson High School?
The student must take the High School Placement Test at Bellarmine-Jefferson High School and qualify for admission.
Deadline:
Application and essay must be received by mid-January
Recommendation must be mailed directly from the school.
Timeline:
The recipients will be notified of their scholarship along with their acceptance letters
Several $2000 scholarships will be awarded as a credit to BJHS tuition and are renewable each year if the student maintains a 3.0 semester GPA.
