Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry at Bellarmine-Jefferson High School has its fundamental roots in the mission and ministry of the Church by actively responding to the invitation of Jesus to extend the Kingdom of God in the world.

The philosophy of the Campus Ministry program at Bellarmine-Jefferson High School is an extension and application of the basic mission of the school, with special emphasis on inculcating the following values:

  • That a Christian education encompasses one’s whole human life - physical, intellectual, moral, psychological, social, and spiritual in order to perfect the human being according to the example and teaching of Christ.
  • That the parents are the primary educators.  The Church, the school, and civil society support, enhance and complement this role but do not thereby assume the parent’s primary responsibilities.
  • That the student is capable of absorbing the message of Jesus Christ - that each human being has within himself/herself goodness and worthiness which must be expressed and affirmed consciously and actively through his/her relationship with other human beings in the community.
